Art for Amber

An initiative by Mikaylah Thomas and Lion Studios

We have been touched by the extraordinary efforts of Yr 10 student Mikaylah Thomas of Tomaree High School, NSW. Engages in the Learning Through Internship program at her school, Mikaylah has worked one day a week at her parent's gallery, Lion Studios, creating an initiative that celebrates creativity and raises awareness and funds for treating mental ill health.

In the words of her parents,

'Youth mental health is a cause that is very close to our family’s heart, and we are incredibly grateful to Richard and Tamara from Amber’s White Light for embracing Mikaylah’s idea and supporting her journey.

Watching her approach this project with such maturity, compassion, dedication and professionalism has been truly inspiring. She has poured her heart and soul into creating something that she hopes will make a difference for young people facing mental health challenges, and we know this exhibition will be something very special.'

The exhibition opens on the 1st of October 2026.

All donated artworks will be sold for $50

each and displayed in Lion Studio's online gallery.

A select range will also be displayed in store.
