The return of the third AWL APS Sports Round proved to be both a conversation starter and a fundraising success. This year also marks the inaugural ‘AWL Spirit of the Game Award’.
The 3rd AWL APS winter sports round united schools and communities to raise awareness about complex youth mental health. We thank Carey Baptist Grammar, Ivanhoe Grammar, Melbourne Grammar, Geelong Football Club, and Ollie Dempsey for their support.
Our hardworking bakers and volunteers at the Cake Stall raised $5,000 for Amber’s Alert Diagnostic Toolkit and the SANE Digital Aftercare program for Emergency Departments.

AWL Spirit of the Game Award
The Spirit of the Game award is awarded to a student who exemplifies team spirit, enthusiasm, and encouragement, qualities of Carey alum Amber Wraith, a member of the Inaugural Girls Firsts XVIII Football Team of 2018.
Congratulations to our Carey Grammar 2025 winners, Issy Teoh and Ned La Motte. Along with Carey Grammar 2024 winner Madi Coleman. Further congratulations to the two recipients from the opposition teams, Ivanhoe Grammar and Melbourne Grammar.
