2025 Election
Labor and the Coalition pitch their mental health plans
The federal government has pledged to invest $1 billion dollars to expand access to mental health services across the country if re-elected on May 3, 2025.
This follows the Coalition’s $900 million dollar promise to deliver more Headspace youth mental health services, and reinstate the 20 Medicare-funded psychology sessions if elected.
Guest: Professor Ian Hickie, Professor of Psychiatry and the Co-Director of Health and Policy, Brain and Mind Centre at the University of Sydney
